Manage Lookup Values
Rename or delete values used in the dropdowns. A value can only be deleted if no entries use it.
What this is
A private log of your reloading data — recipes (chambering, firearm, bullet, powder, primer, case), your measurements, and chronograph strings, all searchable. Everything is stored locally; nothing leaves this device.
Accounts
Everyone has their own login and their own private Chamberings, Firearms, Suppressors, and logged entries — no one else can see or edit your data. Bullets, Powder, Primers, and Cases are shared across every account, so when anyone updates a price or adds a new component, everyone benefits from it. The first account ever created is automatically an admin; an admin can promote/demote other accounts from the Admin tab.
Admin (admins only)
Rename any account, reset a forgotten password, promote or demote between Admin/User, or delete an account entirely. Deleting a user removes their private Chamberings/Firearms/Suppressors/Entries — shown as counts before you confirm — but never touches shared components. There's always at least one admin: you can't demote or delete the last remaining one, and you can't delete your own account from this screen (log in as a different admin to do that).
New Entry
- Chambering → Firearm
- Pick the chambering first — the Firearm list narrows to firearms
logged under that chambering.
+ Add new…at the bottom of any dropdown lets you add one on the spot. Adding a brand-new chambering asks whether it's a Rifle (100 yd) or Pistol (25 yd) and its caliber — this drives both the Bullet filtering and the MOA conversion below. - Bullet
- Only shows bullets matching the selected chambering's caliber. Adding a new one opens a small form for Manufacturer, Grain Weight, and Model (SKU optional) — the display name is built from those automatically.
- Suppressor
- Optional — leave it on None if you're shooting unsuppressed. Tracked the same way as other components, so you can filter and compare suppressed vs. unsuppressed results later.
- Cost Per Round
- Set a price and quantity for your Bullets, Powder, Primers, and Cases in Manage Lookups (a Set Price / Edit Details button on each) and the app calculates cost per round automatically — shown in Browse Data and on each entry's detail view. Case cost is split across an expected number of reloads (editable per case, defaults to 6) rather than counted fresh every time. A Check Price ↗ button opens a search on your behalf so you can look up current pricing and type it in.
- Similar Loads
- A panel at the bottom of this form that shows loads you've already logged matching whatever you've picked so far — starts with just the chambering, and narrows further as you fill in Firearm, Bullet, Powder, and so on. Handy for checking "what did I get last time with this combo" without leaving the entry screen. Click any row to see its full detail.
- Group Size / Group Mean Radius
- Each has an in / MOA toggle. Leave it on in and type what you measured off the target with calipers — it converts to MOA automatically using the fixed distance for that chambering. Switch to MOA if you already know the MOA value and want to type it directly.
- Velocities
- + Add Shot for as many rounds as you fired. Maximum Spread, Standard Deviation, and Average Velocity calculate live as you type.
- Screening vs Validated
- Screening — a quick, low-round test. Validated — a fuller string you're confirming. Validated entries are automatically scored Accepted or Failed against 1.5 MOA group size / 0.75 MOA mean radius, shown live as you fill in the form. If a load exceeds those but you still want to accept it (some firearms just won't shoot sub-1.5 MOA), check Accept anyway (override).
- Incomplete
- Automatic, not something you set — any entry missing its bullet/powder/primer/case, missing charge / C.O.A.L. / group size, or with fewer than 3 shots gets an Incomplete badge alongside its status, so half-finished entries are easy to find later.
Browse Data
- Filters
- Any combination of Chambering, Firearm, Bullet, Powder, Primer, Case, Status, and Completeness.
- Click a row
- Opens full detail — every shot's velocity, all measurements, notes.
- Promote to Validation
- On a Screening entry, pre-fills a new Validated entry with the same recipe so you don't retype it when a promising load is ready for a fuller string.
- Edit Entry
- Opens the entry back into the New Entry form for correction — wrong case, a typo, anything — and updates it in place instead of creating a duplicate.
- Delete
- Permanent. There's no undo, so double-check before confirming.
Manage Lookups
Rename or delete any Chambering / Firearm / Bullet / Powder / Primer / Case / Suppressor. Chamberings can have their Rifle/Pistol type and caliber corrected; Bullets have an Edit Details button for their Manufacturer/Grain/Model/SKU. A value can only be deleted if no entries currently reference it — reassign or delete those entries first.
Manage Users
Chamberings/Firearms/Suppressors/Entries are counted per user so you know what deleting an account would remove. Bullets, Powder, Primers, and Cases are shared and unaffected by any of this.
